Do you have any FMCB version on your console?

Does your console have any modchip (e.g. Matrix infinity):

Not on all SCPH-90004 consoles FMCB will work (automatically):
    https://www.psx-place.com/threads/playstation-2-identification-tool.199/#post-147059.

    1. If you have FMCB download one of these packages from here:
      https://www.psx-place.com/resources/fmcb-fhdb-noobie-package.721/.
    2. Unpack it.
    3. Copy all of its content into the root of your USB device.
    4. Turn ON PS2.
    5. Look for wLaunchELF\uLaunchELF and launch it.
    6. Plug it in your USB device into PS2.
    7. Look for "FMCBInstaller.elf".
      E.g. File browser -> mass:/ -> [190413]FMCB-1966-bin -> FMCBInstaller.elf
    8. Select install -> Normal -> Memory card in slot 1 or 2 (depending where you want to install FMCB):
    9. After successful installation, reboot PS2.
    10. Have fun

    https://web.archive.org/web/2018090...153/playstation-2-model-compatibility-155567/.

I still don't know how you managed to copy files onto memory card ?
What tool\app you used for that?
    Was it uLaunchELF?

How you managed to start\launch uLaunchELF?
Do you have any modchip in that console:

Did you tried to install FMCB?
Not every console is fully compatible with FMCB.

Modchip should be seen from the other side of that motherboard.

I don't know how you managed to launch uLaunchELF from DVD disc,
but try to use it once again.
    Start uLaunchELF -> FileBrowser -> MISC/ -> Debug Info:
    I need that photo.

    EDIT: READ THIS FIRST:
    https://www.psx-place.com/threads/how-is-install-a-fmcb.29067/#post-237369.

EDIT 2: Here is HWC's OSDSYS Launcher v1.1:
    https://www.psx-place.com/threads/hwcs-osdsys-launcher-v1-1.28132/.

Your console have ROMVER 2.30 so it is not fully compatible with FMCB.
    1. Delete from your MC following folders (to save space):
      APPS
      BEEXEC-SYSTEM or BAEXEC-SYSTEM
      SYS-CONF
    2. Unpack and copy APPS from attachment into your memory card.
    3. After that you'll need FORTUNA exploit.
      1. Download the package (FORTUNA_rev2.zip) from here:
        https://www.psx-place.com/threads/fortuna-all-ps2s-incl-tv-hackable-another-discless-exploit.27226/.

Currently this exploit works only on SLIM (all of them),
starting all the way from SCPH-700x and up to PS2 TV.

If you have a FAT PS2, for know you have to wait...

      2. For rev_2 changing the date is not needed, so you can skip this part,
however if you will have any problems try to do it.

For rev_1 on your PS2 go to System Configuration and set the date to a year like 2050 or so.

Q: Why do I have to set the date first before installing?
A: The file must be the first file on the memory card (MC) when you see the PS2 Browser menu. The first file the save file which has been last written to. If you don't do the clock trick, then when saving games the icon will no longer be the first one in the PS2 Browser menu.

      3. Extract the contents of the package and copy the entire FORTUNA folder to the ROOT of your memory card:
        Rev_2 supports both slots ("mc0:/" and "mc1:/").
        Rev_1 supports only 1st slot ("mc0:/").
      4. On your PS2 go to System Configuration and set the date to the correct date.
This step is needed for rev_1, for rev_2 if everything is fine there is no need to do it.
      5. Turn off\on your PS2.
      6. Go to the PS2 Browser menu (PS2 default browser where you see all your game saves on your memory cards).
      7. Select the memory card (MC) you have copied the file to:
        Rev_2 supports both slots.
For rev_1 preferably 1st slot ("mc0:/") is needed.
      8. For rev_2 all the icons can load.
For rev_1 let it load ONLY 2-3 icons and then hit back right away. Do not allow it overpopulate the list:
      9. You will notice a memory card (MC) icon is missing.
      10. Go back one more time, this time mc0:/FORTUNA/BOOT.ELF
it will execute which in fact is the latest uLauchELF (uLE).
--- now from there you can do what you want and etc., like load homebrew APPS and etc.
      11. Now once everything has been installed, repeat step from 6 to 10.

    4. Unpack and copy BOOT.ELF from attachment into mc0:/FORTUNA folder.
    5. Initialize Fortuna
      FORTUNA Homebrew Launcher should launch.
    6. Press :but tri: (Use Device: mc0 and Folder: APPS
    7. Press :but cir: to launch new OPL 1436.

  14. He probably wants the hacked OSDSYS... He can start FMCB via his Modchip's DEV.1-Mode and with HWNJ's OSDSYS-Launcher...!

    I forgot about HWNJ's OSDSYS-Launcher.

From what I remember he had a problem with white screen in OPL.
Probably games on USB were fragmented.

So I suggested (beside defragmentation) to also update OPL.
If he don't know how to do it, he can install FMCB noobie package.
    Here is discussion about it:
    https://www.psx-place.com/threads/white-secreen.29061/#post-236943.

Maybe he read something about FMCB and decide that he wants it.

If you can write short guide how to use\install HWNJ's OSDSYS-Launcher I'll be appreciated.
Currently I have very limited time to post anything.

    1. Download a wLE-ISO and write it to a blank disc (he already has that)!
    2. Download the newest FMCB-Noobie-Package and unpack it to a USB-Storage device!
    3. Boot the wLE-Disc and start the FMCB-Installer!
    4. Install FMCB (preferably Crossregional Multi-install)!
    5. Copy BOOT.ELF to the same folder (mc0:/BOOT/) as BOOT2.ELF
    6. Replace BOOT.ELF with @HWNJ's OSDSYS-Launcher!
    7. Change the OSDSYS-wLE-Link, as well as the Button-Launch-Link from BOOT.ELF to BOOT2.ELF!
    8. If your chip supports changing settings without bricking, switch BOOT-Mode to DEV.1!
    9. Have fun!

When I enter the memory settings via ulanche, I find fmcb data, but when I post to the list of ps2 I can't find it.
So is the problem from memory or device?
When you download an explanation, I hope it is integrated with pictures or videos, because I do not know the English language well

  19. @AliQuw: Yes, you have a new BOOT-ROM-Version ("BIOS") 2.30... It does not automatically boot FMCB!
You can boot into it via your Modchip, if it supports "DEV.1", or if it doesn't have that feature, you can use "Fortuna" for it!

What kind of modchip is it?

Please follow the instructions in my previous post!
You have installed the FMCB-Noobie-Package, correct (steps 1-4 already accomplished)?!?

When you start your PS2 and hold either TRIANGLE or R1, does it start wLE?
